The FungiCheck Test Kit contains 10 complete tests. Includes test strips, extraction liquid, 10 test tubes and 10 stirrers. The test should always be performed by a professional with some experience in sterile handling.
The test is very easy to use. With just 1 mg of nail sample and 10 minutes of your time, you can already read the result from the test strip. The test strip in the FungiCheck kit consists of a sample layer, a reagent strip, a decision strip and an absorbent pad. The additional control line allows you to clearly see whether your sample has been correctly absorbed by the test strip.
Dermatophytes are fungi that require keratin for growth. These fungi can cause infections of the skin, hair and nails.
Because Dermatophytes require keratin to grow, they are restricted to hair, nails and superficial skin.
Dermatophytosis are referred to as 'Tinea' infections.
